ABOUT THE PODCAST

An oral history of David Letterman & Company—one conversation at a time.

The Letterman Podcast is an independent podcast hosted by Mike Chisholm and dedicated to preserving the stories, memories and people connected to Late Night with David Letterman, Late Show with David Letterman and the wider Letterman community.

Why this podcast exists

Letterman’s shows produced an extraordinary body of comedy, music, broadcasting and television history. But some of the best stories never happened in front of the cameras.

This podcast creates a place for writers, crew members, performers, guests, broadcasters, collectors and fans to document those stories in their own words. Each episode adds another piece to a growing archive of the people and moments that made the shows what they were.
