Carter Bays has had quite the adventure during his career in creativity, and he sure isn’t done yet. The former Late Show writer, along with his writing partner Craig Thomas, have worked together for decades, leading Carter to all sorts of assignments and achievements, including creating the smash comedy hit, ‘How I Met Your Mother.’ Carter and Mike weave a fascinating story that travels through Carter’s professional life, with many lovely pit-stops along the way. And there are a LOT of really great Letterman memories during the journey. They also talk about the looming writer’s strike and the need to allow creatives to be afforded the opportunity to make a livable wage in being so.
